Am I required to post about my experience using social media after each event?
Yes, to participate in this program we ask that you commit to sharing your experience using your choice of social media. It is best to post as soon as possible after the performance so the information is relevant to your readers and fresh in your mind, but we ask that you post within one week of the performance.
How do I join?
Applications are now being accepted until August 24, 2012. Please contact theoroi@schubert.org for more information and to be added to our mailing list.
What happens if I cannot attend one of the performances?
If you are unable to attend a performance please inform us with as much notice as possible. The program manager usually has a list of substitutes to reach out to if advance notice is given, but ultimately it is your own responsibility to make sure someone attends in your place. If you would like to find your own substitute, just please let us know in advance who will be using your ticket, and please make sure they understand the requirements of the program and are willing to share about their experience using social media.
What are my options for social platforms?
Whatever you would like! You can use Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Tumblr, WordPress… whichever you are most comfortable with, and whichever you think will reach the largest audience is the best choice. Feel free to experiment with multiple platforms if you wish.
Do I have to purchase the entire season or can I just choose the performances I am interested in?
In order to participate in this program, we do ask that you commit to the entire season. If you have a conflict with a particular date, please notify the program manager as soon as possible, and she will work with you to find a replacement.
Can I purchase an additional set of tickets so I have someone I know to sit with?
Everyone who participates in this program must fill out an application and be accepted. One of the goals of this program is to foster dialogue amongst the members to aide in the learning experience and create friendships, so please don’t feel that you need to find a companion.
Can I join midway through the season?
Theoroi participants are required to commit to the entire season. There are often times when a member is unable to attend and a substitute fills in. Please contact theoroi@schubert.org if you are interested in being added to this list. Additionally, you are welcome to purchase tickets to the events on your own and participate in the social dialogue.
How will I receive my tickets?
Tickets will be distributed immediately before each performance. If you are not able to connect with the group before the performance, please contact Tessa ahead of time and your ticket will be left at will call. Please inform theoroi@schubert.org if someone else will be using your ticket.
